In January of 2004 one of Penticton's landmark hotels was transformed into a seniors' residence. Previously known as The Penticton Inn and Suites on Martin Street, changed from a 101-room hotel to a 90-suite independent living seniors facility
The Penticton Inn opened in 1951 as the Prince Charles Hotel, hence the name “Charles Manor”. The hotel has undergone several renovations and changes over the past two decades. The Schlosser family of Abbotsford has owned it since 1990. The general manager of Charles Manor is Steve Clement.
